Anaheim Ducks general manager Bob Murray is in a bit of trouble after he threw a chair and accidentally hit a woman following his team's loss in Game 7 to the Detroit Red Wings.
The woman was struck in the press box and Murry immediately apologized for the mistake. The woman declined to press any charges and did not appear to be seriously injured.
However, the police did still write up a report, although it seems doubtful at this point that anything will come of the incident.
The Ducks initially refuted reports that Murray threw the chair, but the general manager later admitted to doing so.
Anaheim was just one step away from reaching the Western Conference Finals and upsetting a team for the second straight round in the NHL playoffs but came up a little bit short.
Ducks eliminated from playoffs
The Anaheim Ducks gave the Detroit Red Wings a big scare before finally being eliminated in Game 7, 4-3.
Goaltender Jonas Hiller had a sensational series against the NHL's most prolific offense, but even he couldn't do quite enough to help the Ducks advance to the Western Conference Finals.
Still, the team should be extremely proud of their playoff effort. They managed to eliminate the NHL's best team from the regular season in the first round and then nearly knock off arguably the second best team in the second round.
After such a successful end to the season, Anaheim now faces a lot of uncertainty heading into the offseason. They have a number of key players entering free agency, and who knows how many of them will return for next season.

Ducks fall to Wings, 6-3
Just as thought it appeared the Anaheim Ducks had gained momentum and have the chance to bury the Detroit Red Wings, things fell apart in a 6-3 loss.
Goaltender Jonas Hiller was incredible in the first three games of the series, and his play was clearly baffling Detroit's high-powered offense.
They solved the goalie in Game 4, putting six pucks in the back of the net, and now the Ducks are hopeful that they can rebound from what was a poor defensive performance all-around.
The Red Wings stopped being quite as patient and looking for the perfect shot, instead deciding to pepper the net with shots at every opportunity, looking for possible rebounds.
The strategy apparently worked, and now it's up to Hiller and the Ducks to try and figure out a way to stop it.

Ducks stun Red Wings in Game 2
It took three overtimes, but the Anaheim Ducks stole a game on the road from the Detroit Red Wings with a 4-3 victory.
Todd Marchant scored his first goal of the playoffs just more than a minute into the third overtime session to send Anaheim off the ice a winner.
Joe Hiller was unbelievable in goal, stopping 59 of the 62 shots that he faced.
The series now will shift back to Anaheim for Game's 3 and 4, giving the Ducks a prime opportunity to put themselves in control and a chance to advance.
The Ducks have already pulled off their share of surprises in the playoffs, having knocked off the No. 1 seed San Jose Sharks in the first round.
