Ducks eliminated from playoffs

The Anaheim Ducks gave the Detroit Red Wings a big scare before finally being eliminated in Game 7, 4-3.

Goaltender Jonas Hiller had a sensational series against the NHL's most prolific offense, but even he couldn't do quite enough to help the Ducks advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Still, the team should be extremely proud of their playoff effort. They managed to eliminate the NHL's best team from the regular season in the first round and then nearly knock off arguably the second best team in the second round.

After such a successful end to the season, Anaheim now faces a lot of uncertainty heading into the offseason. They have a number of key players entering free agency, and who knows how many of them will return for next season.
